Content: Printed on verso: "Roman Catholic Chaplain R.B. Drinan reads aloud the requiem chant, 'De Profundis', at the memorial service tribute for sailor who was killed in the line of duty by a plane which crashed on the flight deck. The services, conducted on the hangar deck, were attended by officers and enlisted men. Six members of a Torpedo Squadron acted as pallbearers for their departed friend who had been aboard only since February, 1942." "For distribution not before 3 P.M., Thursday, August 20th, 1942."
