Content: Printed on border: "New York's Popular Pleasure-Resort. Five miles South of Prospect Park, with which it is connected by the Ocean Parkway. Reached by Trolleys, Long Island Trains, and Coney Island Boats. Coney Island in 1903 is changed from its former character. It mainly comprises a World's Fair, covering 22 acres, in Luna Park. In the centre are a heart-shaped lake and electric tower 200 feet high ; before the entrance, a Court of Honor, with peristyle. Thompson & Dundy host of amusements ; trip to the moon in airship Luna III ; submarine journey through tropical and arctic seas ; villages representing different nationalities ; bombardment of Fort Hamilton ; hippodrome ; chutes ; circus ; children's theatre and play-ground ; temples, minarets, etc. Crowds of merry bathers on the beach."
