Content: In order to avoid going to fight in the the Trojan war, Odysseus pretends to be insane, ploughing his field but sowing salt instead of seed. His ploy is revealed when Palamedes places Telemachus, Odysseus' infant son, in front of the plough, and Odysseus swerves to avoid killing him.
