Content: This highly-detailed aerial view of ancient Jerusalem incorporates the best of biblical scholarship of its time. Important sites are indicated by numbers keyed to the legend at the bottom, with the Temple having a separate set of alphabetical references denoting a special level of detail befitting its importance. Note the crucifixion taking place on the hill (labelled "69. Golgotha.") in the upper center of the right half of the picture.
