Content: Printed on mount: "Local high tides and waves brought destruction to the stretch of Redondo Beach strand, leaving only twisted beach homes and rubble in their wake. Two apartment houses and at least a dosen bungalows collaspsed and were grounded to driftwood by the angry seas. No lives were lost and none were injured, since the entire area was evacuated."
