Content: Depiction of the dining room of a Roman house, which typically included a couch (the triclinium) that extended around three sides of a dining table. This couch was spread with pillows to allow diners to recline comfortably on their sides, using their free hand for eating. This particular triclinium seems designed for warm-weather use.
