Description
Radio interview with Alfred Brendel, Austrian pianist, poet and author, who is widely considered to be one of the greatest pianists of all time. Brendel talks about his life, background and career as a musician, his influences, and his hobbies. He also discusses the composers whose music he likes to play such as Schubert, Bach, Beethoven, and Mozart, and of whose music he is regarded as one of the major interpreters. Recordings of various piano pieces performed by Brendel are played during the interview. Conducted by Studs Terkel.
