Content: Transferred from Irma and Paul Milstein Division of United States History, Local History and Genealogy, 2013
Content: Joshua H. Beal climbed to the tower of the Brooklyn Bridge while it was still under construction, where he exposed five negatives to create this composite panorama. The view shows many lower Manhattan landmarks, including Trinity Church, the New York Tribune building, and the busy docks of the East River.
