Description
Bobby Short, a cabaret singer and pianist, best known for his interpretations of songs by composers of the first half of the 20th century, Wilk, and an unidentified man (a black performer) discuss Vernon Duke as a person and a musician, his songs and his shows, his behavior and his character, his intelligence and his talent, and recount some episodes from their experiences with Vernon and other people in the performing arts such as Josephine Baker, Ira Gershwin, and Régine Crespin. After 28 minutes of the conversation, Short begins his performance.
