Description
This program features the music of Rochester-native composer Alec Wilder at the Eastman School of Music. Besides the sparkling commentary by host Marian McPartland and jazz singer Susannah McCorkle, the video also features candid black & white photos of Alec Wilder, the musicians that he worked with, and Marian McPartland. This is a tribute for Mr. Wilder, who died on Christmas Eve, 1980. The program is part of the PBS WXXI fund drive.
