Vernet, and consist of views of landscapes and buildings, primarily in Paris, France, and Italy.Content: Vol. 2 has half title only.Content: Plates  and  of v. 1 were printed directly from the original daguerreotype plates using a process developed by H. Fizeau; cf. Goldschmidt & Naef.Content: Text by P. de La Garenne, Fr. Goupil, P.G. Joly de Lotbinière, F. Goupil, L. Batissier, G. Deville, J. Janin, E. Jomard, and others.Content: Consists of  leaves of plates (v. 1:  leaves; v. 2:  leaves), each accompanied by 2-5 p. of descriptive letterpress.Content: Copies are known with up to 114 plates and an added leaf in v. 2 describing Fizeau's process; cf.
