Topics discussed by Ashley include her early training at the School of American Ballet; her perceptions of George Balanchine as choreographer and teacher; her experiences as a member of the New York City Ballet; and her forthcoming book, Dancing for Balanchine. She also discusses coping with injuries and finding a balance between career and private life. She is joined partway through the interview by her husband Kibbe Fitzpatrick, who also contributes to the discussion.
