Biographical/historical: Die schlimmen Frauen im Serail, described as a Zauberposse [magic farce?] in two acts, was written by Franz Told, with music by Heinrich Proch. Its libretto was published in Berlin in 1841, where it was apparently presented at the Königsstädtisches Theater. The role of Zulima is described as the beloved of Isenbart, one of the principal characters; Adina is her maidservant.
