Venue: Videotaped by Dennis Diamond at a lecture-demonstration by Don Redlich at the Page Auditorium, Duke University, Durham, on July 9, 1978, as part of the American Dance Festival Video Archival project. Assisting dancers: Jennifer Donohue, Irene Feigenheimer, Barbara Roan and Billy Siegenfeld.

After a demonstration by the group of various movement elements used in structuring dances, the concepts involved are then illustrated by excerpts from several works choreographed by Redlich, and Rota, choreographed by Hanya Holm.
