DescriptionA special dance - and during the dance itself the Dorji Lingpa Monkey scales the large cypress tree in the Lhakhang - together with a troupe of atsaras. It is understood that the height to which the Monkey scales the tree determines the quality of the harvest for the coming year - so all eyes are on the monkey, and a strong and skilful climber is chosen for this part.
