Content: Friday and Crusoe fashion a dugout canoe from a log. The odd-looking way Crusoe holds his axe is explained by the fact that he's using its blunt end as a hammer to hit a wedge or chisel. Note the grindstone, tools, sleeping dog and tent in the foreground.
Content: Though it has no source information, this illustration is similar in format and style to others found under Source Ref. number 17647.
