Abstract

Manuscript note written in pencil on a scrap of blue paper, probably 1850s. Possibly notes for "As I Ebb'd with the Ocean of Life” (1860). Verso is currently inaccessible because the manuscript is pasted down at both its left and right sides onto the larger blank leaf to which it is mounted. In Volume III of: Walt Whitman. Holograph manuscript fragments assembled by Dr. Richard Maurice Bucke.
