Biographical/Historical: Copy in Berg Coll 23-12 was published in 1930 -- well before the ban in the United States had been lifted -- and bound in covers identifying it as the popular children's book The Bobbsey Twins in the Country (1907) in an attempt to evade censors. So-called "decoy" copies of Ulysses are incredibly scarce: only one appears to be extant in an institutional collection at Southern Illinois University. That copy is similarly bound (see Gdrive for photos), albeit as a biography of Ulysses S. Grant by a fake author, "Earl D. Hale".
