Description
Princess Grace Awards Gala held by Princess Grace Foundation awards young artists in Performing Arts. Hosted by Larry King, in addition to rewarding artists in various areas, this event pays a special 5 minute tribute with a film and photos to Prince Rainier, who passed away on April 12 of the same year, and a16-minute homage to Mikhail Baryshnikov. It is composed of: Liza Minnelli speaks about Baryshnikov's accomplishments; footage shows him in dance and in interviews; Prince Albert bestows the Inaugural Prince Rainier III Award on him; he responds with a speech. The presentation part of the gala is concluded with Natalie Merchant singing at the piano.
