Sound quality is fair. The recording is marred by some extraneous noise and occasional short gaps, but for the most part the speakers' voices are easily intelligible.
Description
Interview with Justin Colin conducted by John Gruen as research for an article in The New York Times, on September 25, 1975, in New York, N.Y. Streaming file (approximately 40 minutes). Justin Colin, President of Ballet Theatre Foundation speaks with John Gruen about finding a New York City venue for American Ballet Theatre in New York City; the possibility of performing at the Metropolitan Opera house including why it is not an ideal venue; the current status of American Ballet Theatre's plan to acquire and restore Manhattan Center as a performance venue, including facilities for the live broadcast of performances on television.
