Teachers spotlighted in demonstration classes are Bessy (steps of elevation), Jean-Paul Sereni (physical education), Claire Baulieu (contemporary dance), and Gilbert Mayer (batterie). Paris Opéra Ballet dancers Elisabeth Platel and Manuel Legris perform variations, demonstrate steps, and converse with Bessy and students. Bessy discusses the dancer's physique and interviews administrator Jacqueline Bienvenue, dancer Cyril Atanassoff, and Dirk Sanders, a former dancer who is now a television director. Dance excerpts portray Platel in the Reine des dryades variation from Don Quixote (chor: Rudolf Nureyev after Petipa; mus: Minkus); Sylvie Guillem in La luna (chor: Maurice Béjart; mus: Bach); Atanassoff and Bessy in La fleur carnivore (b&w) (chor: Michel Rayne; mus: Brazilian batucada), Atanassoff in Grand pas classique (b&w) (chor: Victor Gzovsky; mus: Auber), Legris in a variation from La sylphide (chor: Pierre Lacotte after Filippo Taglioni; mus: Schneitzhoeffer), and Dominique Khalfouni in Ma Pavlova (chor: Roland Petit; mus: Mozart).
