Description
Mikhail Baryshnikov and White Oak Dance Project perform Past Forward, a retrospective and celebration of Judson Dance. Some of the original narrative by Baryshnikov and video sequences filmed by Charles Atlas are included in this recording. Several works are bracketed by quick descriptions from the choreographer. Public participation is part of the program: local dancers, students, and community members take part in several works. Volume I contains only "Scramble" and "Huddle", with some narration. Volume II then follows the regular program, continuing after the intermission with Volume III. Poor visual quality and rough edits thoroughout. There is audible dialogue between camera operators about the equipment.
