Program host, Bob Edwards, introduces Merce Cunningham and John Cage, including the previous night's "Celebrate Cage" benefit for the Merce Cunningham Dance Company; Lars Hillel reports on Cage's tape loops for his Rozart mix (1965); Alvin Lucier briefly describes the splicing process; Michael Pugliese reads Cage's original instruction for Rozart mix and speaks about using chance procedure to create his own tape loop for the benefit performance; Hillel reports on the benefit, its attendees and the performance; Andy Summers speaks about his own tape loop; Cunningham briefly speaks about Cage's compositional process and their collaboration; Edwards makes program credit announcements.
