Description
Fanny Elssler posed in fourth position, left foot forward pointe tendue, left arm curved upward, right arm held slightly away from side, holding castanets. The background is a cultivated park, through which couples are strolling and an archway at right in which several men are standing watching her. The whole is enclosed in an ornamental border.
