Music: Vangelis Papathanassiou, with vocals by Irene Papas. Scenery: Nancy Goldring. Costumes: Larry Prospero. Lighting: Ken Bowen. Perf. by Chicago Repertory Dance Ensemble: Mary Ward, with Christina Ernst, Sherry Clarke, Sherry Zunker, Sam Watson, April Siegfried, and Kenneth Comstock. -- Interview with Ze'eva Cohen (approx. 14 min.). Interviewer: Philip Guerrard. Cohen discusses various aspects of her choreography for Ode: its use of folk dance qualities; the inspiration provided by its music, especially the singing of Irene Papas; and its use of ancient Greek art as a source of movement ideas. Her comments are interspersed with rehearsal and performance footage of Ode. At the end of the interview, artistic director Tara Mitton offers a few comments on the company and its work with Cohen.

Content: Compilation of two works and an interview. Out of wilderness recorded onstage at the Orpheum Theater, Omaha, Nebraska, in April 1991. Ode recorded onstage at Weinstein Center for the Performing Arts, Evanston, Illinois, in January 1985. Interview with Ze'eva Cohen recorded in 1985 by Mark Robison; directed and edited by Michael Schwartz.
