Content: Summary: Jack is playing with Mamie when he throws her hat into the water; she runs home. Then Jack retrieves the hat from the water to give back to Mamie who cries. Years later they are still in a relationship when Jack vows to go away. Mamie thinks he's teasing, but when Jack leaves on a boat, the boat never returns.
