Content: Copy in Sc Rare 811-M (copy 2) (accession no. B571421) has McKay's poem "If we must die" inscribed in ink, in McKay's hand, on recto of first free endleaf. It is signed at the end: "Claude McKay. Sunday Eve. July 16, 1922. Written by Request of A.A. Schomburg." This copy is part of the original collection purchased from Arthur A. Schomburg in 1926.
