Source Characteristics: Sound quality is fair. There is extraneous noise including "tape hiss" as well as occasional short gaps. The volume of streaming file 3 is considerably lower than that of streaming files 1 and 2, particularly in the first approximate 14 minutes. However, overall the speakers' voices are intelligible.

[Begins abruptly.] Kathryn Mullowny speaks with Victoria Huckenpahler about touring with Chester Hale; her experience as a dancer in the musical comedy Flying colors, including a rehearsal anecdote about Agnes de Mille; Albertina Rasch; her experience in the musical comedy As thousands cheer; auditioning for [Leonide] Massine and Colonel [W.] de Basil and her reasons for not accepting their offer [to tour with Ballets russes du Col. W. de Basil]; taking class at the American School of Ballet including her impressions of George Balanchine; her other teachers including [Pierre] Vladimiroff, Muriel Stuart, and Anatole Vilzak; anecdotes about Balanchine; the first performances of his work Serenade; dancing in the musical comedy The great waltz; Balanchine's Reminiscence and his Alma mater; touring with American Ballet Company including an anecdote about [first name?] Mirovich's absconding with the company's money [ends abruptly].
