Abstract

In volume 1, Mikhail Baryshnikov performs Tamasaburō Bandō's "Dance with Three Drums and Flute" and Sara Rudner's "HeartBeat:mb" in Washington, DC. In volume 2, an ensemble cast performs excerpts from two unidentified ballets, one of which may be "The Nutcracker." The visible portion of volume 2 is a traditional ballet performed by an ensemble cast. The performers and works at the start of volume 2 are obscured by intense light. While dancers are visible in the final piece, none are Baryshnikov.
