This recording is a practice music track (played 6 times) of Carl Czerny's piano study music [Excerpt: "School for Velocity, op. 299, no. 31"] for Act 1, scene 2, cue 2 of the Broadway play "The West Side waltz", for Katharine Hepburn to practice with, and later perform to in the show. It is uncertain if Ms. Hepburn and/or her piano teacher/piano consultant Laura Fratti is actually playing the piano on the recording, so the pianist is currently unidentified.
