Biographical/Historical: Rune, which premiered in 1959, with a musical score by Christian Wolff, was revived by Merce Cunningham Dance Company in Mar. 1995.

Abstract

This video features a run-through of Rune, in rehearsal clothes, without musical accompaniment. Chris Komar, off-camera, gives cues and speaks the counts for some sections as they are rehearsed. The run-through lasts 27 min. The last 3 min. of the video features retakes of short sections of the piece.
