Biographical/historical: Costume design by Auguste Garneray, printed by the lithographic firm of G. Engelmann, and published as plate 15 in Auguste Vizentini's Recueil des costumes de théâtre (182-?).
Biographical/historical: Gaspare Spontini's Olimpie, a form of opera known as tragédie lyrique, was first presented at the Académie Royale de Musique, or Paris Opéra, in December 1819. A new French version was performed at the Opéra in 1826.
