Description
He learns from Capt. Spear and Capt. Walker that Boudinot has offered them a pass to go to New York or Philadelphia and negotiate an exchange for themselves, provided they could get someone to be security; [Richard] Stockton would have drawn the bond, but did not know what form or what sum was required; Walter Buchanan has offered to be security for Capt. Spear, and he offers himself for both; asks that a pass be sent, with instructions as to the bond.
