Description
Dancer, choreographer, and teacher Lea Darwin discusses her work in the U.S. and Europe, including her role in planning the first Jazz Dance World Congress in 1990. She talks about the future of dance in general education and the contribution of local dance schools, and offers some suggestions for parents in search of a good dance school. Other topics include her association with Gus Giordano and his companies, the character shoes she has designed, the importance of style as well as technique, and the definition of jazz dancing.
