Interview with Cleo Nordi conducted by David Vaughan on October 20, 1977 in London (England) for a Dance magazine article entitled: Conversation with Cleo Nordi (July 1979). The interview ends at approximately 21:30 minutes into streaming audio file 2; the remaining approximate 25 minutes consist of ambient noise or are blank. Streaming audio file 1 (approximately 41 minutes). Cleo Nordi speaks with David Vaughan about her training in dance plastique; theories of teaching; studies with Nicholas Legat and his pupils; performing with Anna Pavlova; Pavlova's death. Streaming audio file 2 (The file is approximately 48 minutes. However, the interview ends at approximately 21:30 minutes; the remaining approximate 25 minutes consists of ambient noise or are blank.) Cleo Nordi speaks with David Vaughan about Anna Pavlova; her own childhood and early dance experiences; teaching Margot Fonteyn; her project to record teaching methods.
