Biographical/historical: Reproductive print after a painting by Octave Penguilly-L'haridon, possibly his La danseuse et le feu follet. He exhibited his paintings at the Paris Salon between 1835-1870.

Description
Back view of a young woman, nude except for a flimsy skirt suggestive of a dancer's tutu, who stands in a dance-like pose gazing at a mysterious flamelike object, the ignis fatuus or will o'the wisp of the title. She is observed by two demonic figures with skull-like heads.
