[Announcements and introduction of guests by James Lyons.] Martin Levy speaks about the music for his opera Sotoba Komachi; James Lyons speaks about Levy's background and career; Lyons introduces Sanae Kawaguchi, the opera's choreographer; Kawaguchi speaks about the choreography of Sotoba Komachi; Lyons speaks about Kawaguchi's background and achievements; Lyons, Levy, and Kawaguchi speak about Noh including its history, and the plot, cast, dancers, staging, and orchestration of Sotoba Komachi; the use of masks in Noh; the fact that Sotoba Komachi is inspired by Noh but is not a Noh drama. [At approximately 19:59 minutes, excerpts from a working tape of Sotoba Komachi are played followed by Lyons' closing remarks and announcements].
