Content: Picture caption: "Das ist die straße des französischen Rückzuges. Übersät von Ausrüstungsgegenständen, die die Fliehenden weggeworsen hatten, übersät von Trümmern, die die harte Arbeit der deutschen Stukas verrieten."
Content: German airplanes, including "Stuka" dive bombers, not only attacked columns of French soldiers and military vehicles on the roads but also strafed and bombed crowds of civilian refugees in order to cause panic and tie up communications arteries.
