Depicts Caroline and Charlotte Frédéric, daughters of Frédéric Sluyter, dancing in an Amsterdam production of Pygmalion. Dancer at left on right foot, arms outstretched. Wearing bodice with low rounded neckline, pointed waistline, wide panniered skirt. Dancer at right on left foot, arms outstretched. Wearing male attire: cocked hat, frock coat with skirts stiffened and flared, breeches, heeless shoes. Outdoor setting: trees, statuary.
