In memory of the author of "Ben-Hur." There was recently unveiled in the hall of fame in the capitol at Washington a statue of the late general Lew Wallace, the famous author of "Ben-Hur." The statue is of Carrara marble, seven feet in height, the figure being represented as clad in the uniform of a major-general of the United States Army.
