Description
Edward Eliscu, lyricist, playwright, screenwriter and songwriter from the golden years of Broadway and Hollywood, speaks about his background (born and raised in New York), education, the beginning of his theater career, his first responsibilities as a writer at a young age, the working relationship between T.B. Harms publishing run by Max Dreyfus and producers looking to put on a show, his and other composers' negative opinion of Max Dreyfus with an account of his and Vincent Youmans's law suit, Youmans as a person and a composer, and recalls stories related to his associates and career. The interview projects an exceptionally modest, but very experienced show business professional who downplays his significance and contribution to performing arts.
