He talks about his dedication to circus life and the way of the Big Apple Circus to success. He also talks about his family, his educational and professional background, and his own way from street juggler to artistic director of the circus. He discusses various topics related to his life and career in circus, such as his experience working with Michael Christensen, his ring companion for many years; his wife of that time, Swedish equestrienne Katja Schumann, and others.Part 1 (35:58-62 minutes).
