Unedited footage of an interview recorded for the cable television series Dance Spotlight. Topics discussed by Holder include his art collection and the inspiration it provides for his stage work; the contributions of American choreographers to the world of dance; his beginnings as a dancer in Trinidad in his brother Boscoe's company; his first Broadway show, House of flowers; his wife Carmen de Lavallade and her special qualities as a dancer; his beginnings as a painter; his work on The Wiz, for which he won two Tonys; and his forthcoming book The art of Geoffrey Holder. He concludes by offering advice to aspiring dancers. The interview ends after approx. 27 min., and is followed by casual conversation, views of Holder's art collection, and the repetition of the interviewer's questions.
