Description
A compilation of highlights from Merce Cunningham works created, performed and filmed during the 1970s. Note that the compilation seems to have been created for a public exhibition, so that all material after 14:33 is a continuous repeat of the material seen to that point. The first piece seen is Sounddance (1970), in an excerpt from Event For Television (1977). This is followed by another sequence from the same program, the entirety of the piece Solo (1976), danced by Merce Cunningham. (1:59). Next seen is an excerpt from Torse (1976) (6:27). Following on the program is an excerpt from 1976's Travelogue, featuring a dance solo by Chris Komar (8:02). The selections conclude with an excerpt from Exchange (1973) (11:37).
