Abstract

Instructions to Captaine John Woodleefe for the government of the town and hundred of Barkly; days of thanksgiving; observattion of the Sabbath and of the rites and holidays of the Church of England; punishment for absence from daily prayers; choice of site; the houses to be built; palisades; names and duties of the assistants; a guard to be set each night; provision for government if Woodleefe or Chester die.
