Description
A portion of the classical music radio show dedicated to conductor/composer Leonard Bernstein on his birthday 2 years after his death presents the maestro's close friend, producer of his live-recordings and author of "Leonard Bernstein: Notes from a friend" a long-time champion of the arts, Schuyler Chapin, who reminisces about him, his work, his dynamic temperament, and their relationship. The program includes very brief excerpts of music either conducted or composed by Bernstein.
