Description
Filmed in the village of Asouakro. The "gbagba," an entertainment dance named after a bird, includes mask dances parodying animals and well-known figures. This film depicts dances by a Diula woman (red mask), accompanied by a child servant; a Baule woman (black mask); a Frenchwoman (white mask) with a child servant; an ant (blue mask), accompanied by men carrying green branches; and two "children" dressed in green palm leaves.
