Examples of modern and ancient hulas performed by Helen Desha Beamer, her granddaughter Winona Kapuailohia Beamer, and her youngest daughter, Elizabeth Kawohikukapulani "Baby" Beamer, and Huapala. - Hula pahu (7 min., b&w). Filmed by Huapala, c. 1935. Hawaiian dances and instruments demonstrated by Mary Kawena Pukui and her daughters Pat and Pele. - On the beach at Waikiki (5 min., color). Filmed by Roy F. Crabbe in 1953. Includes a hula lesson, probably in the "Hukilau" dance, given by Nona Beamer.
