Bhutanese Dance: Jug Ging, Tamzhing Phala Choethpa

Tamzhing Phala Choethpa means the Tamzhing Festival of the Boar or Pig, and is held for three days each year from the 10-12th day of the 8th Bhutanese month. In 1501, Pema Lingpa (Bhutan's indigenous saint) established Tamshing Lungrub Chholing, which means the Temple of the Good message, and now it is the most important monastery in the Kingdom. The Jug Ging was performed here in 2005.
