Content: John Gruen, as host, introduces his guest, Eleanor D'Antuono and some of her upcoming roles; D'Antuono speaks with Gruen about American Ballet Theatre including the company's extensive use of guest stars; a performance anecdote about D'Antuono and Ted Kivitt [a recording of the waltz, by Léo Delibes, from the ballet Coppélia is played followed almost immediately by a commercial announcement]; Gruen speaks further about D'Antuono including her background; D'Antuono speaks with Gruen about how she first became interested in ballet; her early training; joining the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo at age 14; her time with the company including the touring; performing the role of Giselle; joining American Ballet Theatre as a soloist; her long tenure at American Ballet Theatre [a recording of music, by Frédéric Chopin, used in Michel Fokine's ballet Les sylphides, is played]; her partners, past and present including Royes Fernandez, Rudolf Nureyev, Erik Bruhn, Paolo Bortoluzzi, Fernando Bujones, Ted Kivitt, and Vladimir Gelvan [commercial announcement followed by Gruen's closing remarks].
